Benjamin L. Traynham passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Ben was a lifetime community member in Hampton. He took great pride in the city that molded him as an individual. He worked for the City of Hampton retiring as a senior appraiser  after 35 years.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, Wade L. and mother, Irene S. He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Traynham; daughter, Renee (Chris) and grandsons J. Ross and Caleb L. all of Midlothian; sister, Merle Brosnan of Sanford, FL; and brother, Wade L. Jr of Wake, VA; all of whom will miss his quick wit and knowledge on so many topics.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the home of Ben and Sandra Traynham.
The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or the Animal Aid Society.
