HAMPTON - Benjamin Norman Chandler, 82, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015. Born in Hampton, he was raised in Richcreek, VA, but returned back to Hampton just before joining the US. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a route salesman for Pepsi Co. until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Hampton Moose Lodge No. 1514. Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Jessie Talmadge Chandler; and his brother, Clinton Chandler. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mildred P. Chandler; daughters, Rhonda Maryaskin of Newport News and Robin Lilley of Hampton; sons, Keith Chandler of Burlington, NC and Talmadge Chandler of Norfolk; Sister, Shirley M. Kennett; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Benjamin's life will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Berceuse funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton. The family will receive friends following the service.
