Benita Roy Zamora, 87, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Born in the Philippines, she was a longtime Peninsula resident where she was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. She had many hobbies, including crocheting, cooking, shopping, gardening and reading the newspaper, but she really enjoyed watching old westerns, especially "Gunsmoke". She enjoyed spending time with her little dogs, but always enjoyed having her grandchildren around.

Preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Zamora, a daughter, Jovita Zamora, and a son, Daniel Zamora; survivors include her children, Soledad Sorrells, Priscilla Hall, Luisa Mercado, Gerardo Zamora, Manolito Zamora, and Mannolo Zamora; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at St. Jerome Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 AM by Rev. Mike Joly.
