Bebe Gene Woodmansee passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the age of 92. A lifelong resident of Hampton, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Woodmansee. Gene was very active as a "Pink Lady" volunteer at Hampton General Hospital and worked in the Hampton Care-Plex gift shop for many years. She and her husband were strong supporters and passionate followers of the Hampton High Crabber football team.
Gene is survived by her daughters, Beverly Bowen and husband, Gene, and Nancy Cox and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Gary Lee Watson, Christian Cox, and wife, Dana, Belinda Bowen and husband, Tony Holmes, and Bobby Bowen and wife, Susan; great-grandchildren, Lily, George and Ingrid Holmes, and Memphis Cox; and her brother, Billy Renn.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
