Barbara L. West, 81, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016. A native of Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was a longtime Peninsula resident. She enjoyed dancing and loved her Jack Russell terriers, Jake, Maggie, Missy and Sammie.

Preceded in death by her husband, James S. West; survivors include her children, Mitchell Walls of Newport News, Robin Pasko and her husband, Daniel of Carrollton, and Marcy Bridges and her husband, Jimmy of Newport News; and her special friend, Don Ashton.

Services will be private.
