Barbara Ann Wallace, 82, widow of John T. Wallace, Jr., passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. A lifelong resident of Fox Hill, she retired as a cafeteria worker with the Hampton City Schools. She was a member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church.

Barbara is survived by her children, Julia Ann Sadler, John "Buster" T. Wallace, III and his wife Bonnie; Linda May Strode and her husband Walter and Colleen Wallace; sisters, Hilda Berry, Phyllis Dellisanti and Julia Wilson; brother, Elroy Johnson; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Barbara enjoyed many doing many things in life. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, boating and decorating her house for each holiday.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 -7:00 PM Tuesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel by Rev. Wayne C. Moore. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
