Barbara Janet Tate Robinson, 90, died Saturday, January 21, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was raised in Lynchburg where she graduated from E.C. Glass High School. She then attended the UVA School of Nursing, graduating in 1952. She retired as a Psychiatric Nurse at UVA. For many years Mrs. Robinson was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking and knitting.

Preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Lou Tate and her sister, Ann Bost; survivors include her husband, Dr. Frederick D. Robinson; her daughter, Janet Robinson Kemp; and her grandson, Jacob Frederick Kemp.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery.
