Barbara Phipps-Lund, 86, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Born in Asheville North Carolina to Ethel and Roger Norvell, she moved with her husband, David Phipps and baby David to Hampton in 1959. She lived a long life full of love and happiness and spent her twilight years filled with the sounds of laughter as she played with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two husbands, David W. Phipps and Richard W. Lund, and a brother, Glenn Norvell; survivors include her daughters, Connie M. Motley and husband, Albert E. Motley, III of Williamsburg and Betty Trost and husband Arthur Trost of Hampton; her son, David W. Phipps, Jr. of Nashville, TN; and eight grandchildren, Cameron Motley and wife, Rev.
