On Saturday May 15, 2021 Barbara Vick Burge loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 85.

Barbara was born January 1, 1936 in Southhampton County, Virginia to Buddy and Audrey Vick.

Barbara had a great passion for photography and received an Associate of Arts from Thomas Nelson in 1986.  She was an active advocate for the Women's Liberation Movement in the 70's. And spent many of her days in retirement on the golf course perfecting her swing.

Known to her family and close friends as "Bobby", she was most loved for her quick wit and her infectious smile.

Bobbie is survived by her husband of 57 years Claude F. Burge, Jr.; their eldest son Mark D. Burge, his son Ben, Mark's wife Amy and her children Nicholas and Beverly; their youngest son Bryan C. Burge, his wife Lorin and their children Steven, Vallarie and Audrey; and her youngest brother Thomas C. Vick.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 19, 2021 from 5-7pm at R. Haydon Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton, and a graveside service will be held Thursday May 20, 2021 at 2pm at the Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Hampton Volunteer Fire Company.
