Barbara Price Boles departed this earth June 17, 2017. She was born in Elizabeth City County, VA to John Watson Price and June Wynn Price. A 1954 graduate of Hampton High School and a member of the FMO sorority, she went on to graduate from Thomas Nelson Community College and Riverside School of Nursing as a registered nurse.. Barbara worked as an RN at Riverside Regional Medical Center for 30 years until retiring.

She was a member of Crooks United Methodist Church, Yorktown; Comte De Grasse Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she served as regent; the Virginia DAR State Chairman of the Yorktown Custom House; Peninsula Campaign Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy where she served as president; the Colonial Dames XVII Century; the Abingdon Women's Club Gloucester; the Tidewater Genealogy Society; and the Seaford Yacht Club. Her hobbies included gardening, genealogy and travel.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald L. Boles; sons, Keith D. Boles and wife Mary, David L. Boles; brother John W. Price Jr; her dog Abby and her cat Kitty.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, June 23, 2017 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton by Rev. David Hampton with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home.
