On Monday January 23rd, 2023, Aubrey Brian Fouse passed away at the age of 36. Aubrey was born on April 25th, 1986, to Dale & Rebecca Fouse. He was a lifelong resident of Hampton, VA and graduated from Phoebus High School.

Though he had many jobs throughout the years, Aubrey took pride in working with his hands. His many projects included installing solar panels, wind turbines, piers, sea walls, remodeling houses, and so much more. Working as a chef at Marker 20, he picked up his phenomenal cooking skills with a specialty in seafood. Friends and family were often blessed with the meals he prepared.

Aubrey was best known for his gentle and loving nature. He was a big brother to Tina and loved her with absolute devotion. He had an amazing ability to make her and everyone else in the room smile; and that talent will not quickly be forgotten. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His favorite activity was helping his dad and friends with gardening, canning. splitting wood, building fires, or any other task that allowed him to spend time with the people he loved. Aubrey was his dad's right-hand man all throughout his life.

After all the work and helping friends, Aubrey still had time to play music with his brother Justin and Godfather Eddie Hudgins. Walking the dogs on the beach or meeting up with his friends is what he enjoyed the most. Above all, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and spending time in nature.

Preceeded in death by his grandparents, George and Lillian Mae Fouse; mother, Rebecca Grey Fouse, aunts, Susan Deitrich and Neta Nelson;  uncles, William Everhart and Lynwood Harrell; and cousin, Michael Harrell; Aubrey is survived by his father, Dale Fouse; sister, Tina Fouse; brothers, Colby Walker, Justin Chomas, Carl Justice, and Benjamin Buzard; Godmother, Kathleen Chomas; Godfather, Eddy Hudgins; aunts and uncles, April Everhart, Cindy Hurlburt, Tobyn Barnett, Brenda Salyers, Andy Fouse, and Richard Nelson; cousins, Caitlyn Everhart, Kristen and Jeff Curtis, John and Paul Hurlburt, Ricky Nelson, Robert Salyers, Brittney and Brian Barnett.

Aubrey leaves a host of friends and family grieving this sudden loss. Though we say goodbye with heavy hearts, we celebrate the gift that was his life.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 3 – 5 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton.
