Arlene M. Peterson, passed away, August 1, 2015. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and has been a Peninsula resident for the past 32 years. Arlene retired from the Department of Defense as a Claims Examiner after 25 years of service. She loved animals, especially her dog Buddy. Survivors include her husband of 37 years David Peterson; daughter, Nancy Peterson; Nephews, Jesse Metiver and Jeff Madden; and Nieces, Laura Dobrich, Jennifer Morinigo, and Shelly Reigle. The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, downtown Hampton, from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Arlene's honor to the National Kidney Foundation , Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016. Arrangements by R.
