Music legend, Archie Vaughn Deel, died September 6, 2023. Vaughn was the recipient of the 2020 Veer Music Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Deel; and his brother, Don Deel. Vaughn is survived by his mother, Rita Deel; son, Jeremy Deel (Sandy); daughters, Shannon Torries (JD), and Sara Mulkey (Rick); sister, Camille Leckie (Gary); brother, Jeff Deel (Ilse); grandchildren, Ricky Deel, Nicky Spires, Erik Deel, Donovan Mulkey, Joe Chewning, and Sydney Chewning; great-grandchildren, Willow Griffis and Kaedyn Godfrey; special friend, Sueanne Doyer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 6PM.

A celebration of life will be held later in November.
