DUE TO WEATHER, THE SERVICE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 1/14/2017 SATURDAY 1:30 PM WITH A 12-1:00 PM VISITATION PRIOR TO SERVICE.

April Christine Chappell passed peacefully at home with family by her side on January 1, 2017 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Newport News and a graduate of Denbigh High School in 1995.

April was a member of Beyond Boobs since 2009 and was always an educator and example to other women of how important it was to live your life with a positive attitude instead of having cancer overtake your existence.  April was a fighter to the end and fought hard each day with a smile on her face, love in her heart, and never complained.

She leaves to cherish her memories and energetic spirit her husband Randy of 18 years; daughter Victoria (Tori) and husband Andy, and granddaughter Ellie; her sons Joey and Thomas (the loves of her life); father Bruce Beaulieu and wife Cathy; mother and father-in-law Jenny and Ralph Chappell; sister Casie Beaulieu; grandmother Linda Vansant; her grandfather Roger Puckett and wife Evelyn, as well as Aunts, Uncles, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many, many very special "Angel" friends.

April is preceded by her baby son Matthew and is now rejoined with him eternally.

Friends and family will gather for a brief visitation (12:00 - 1:00pm) before the 1:30pm service on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 902 Denbigh Blvd,  Newport News, VA 23602.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

A very special thanks from the family to the "Angels" of the Gentiva and Maximum Hospice Team that were by our side during this difficult time.
