Annette N. Peterson, 79, passed away on January 14, 2017. Born in North Carolina, she had been a longtime resident of Hampton. A devoted wife and mother, she spent her life raising her children and taking care of her home. Before falling ill, Annette had been an active member of West Hampton Baptist Church.

Annette was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Going and her second husband John Peterson. Survivors include her daughter, Michele DaVilla; son, Billy Going; sister, Becky House; grandchildren, Charlotte Adele, Jenna DaVilla, and Nora Joy; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece Alicia Fryer.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11AM on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
