Anne Mitchell Williams, 82, of Hampton passed peacefully at Riverside Regional Medical Center on Monday, February 12th, 2018.

Mrs. Williams was born on March 30th, 1935 to Charles Green Mitchell and Edith Wilson Mitchell in Hampton, Virginia. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1952 and after graduating, Mrs. Williams married her high school sweetheart, L. Edward Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were married for 62 years. She was a member of the Hampton Yacht Club and St. Marks United Methodist Church in Hampton, VA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Mitchell; Siblings Edna M. Baker and Robert W. Mitchell; Daughter, Suzanne Williams McDaniel; and grandson, Matthew S. McDaniel.

Survivors include her husband, L. Edward Williams of Hampton, VA; Son-in-law, Anthony M. McDaniel of Temple, TX; and Granddaughter, Anne-Wilson M. Smith and husband Jeffery T. Smith of Houston, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 19th at St. Marks United Methodist Church with Pastor Reggie Rumburg officiating.
