Anna Jean (Goins) Mikoychik passed away Monday morning December 11, 2017. She was 88.

Born May 10, 1929 in Stone, KY to Walter and Luvenia Goins, she was the 8th of nine children. She attended Belfry HS where she played basketball. She joined the US Air Force and was stationed at Otis AFB where she met the love of her life, Walter (Mike) Mikoychik. She spent the next 25 years as an AF wife keeping the home intact and raising two children as they moved to the various assignments. They retired in Hampton in 1975. They enjoyed life together until his passing in 2004.

No matter where she went she was the life of the party. Known for her many sayings, she always put a smile on the face of those she was with.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Mikoychik (Rob Allen) of Kansas City, MO and Tom Mikoychik (Theresa) of Hampton; four grandchildren, Samantha and Stephanie Mikoychik and Michaela and Alexandra Allen; her sister, Bo Steele of Betsy Layne, KY; and her many friends, including Pat and Beryl Prendergast and O'Gee Neely.

Visitation will be held from 6:30-8pm Tuesday, December 19 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10 am December 20 at the First United Methodist Church – Fox Hill. She will be buried beside her husband at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
