Beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend to many.

Ann May Spencer Bateman, "Grandma Batey" 87, of Hampton VA., went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2019 , Preceded in death by her parents Paul and Nina Spencer, brother Sonny Spencer and sister Sally Spencer Johnston, survived by husband Sid Johnston. Ann is survived by her brother Sammy Spencer and wife Sarah. Also her children, daughter Cindy Bateman West & husband Jackie West, Son Marty Bateman & wife Kathy, son Patrick Bateman & wife Heather. Grandchildren Jackie West Jr., Michael West, Brian West, Nick West, Caleb Bateman, Madison Bateman, Marcus T. McMillian, Kyleigh Bateman, Amellia Bateman, Elianah Bateman, Sophia Bateman, Darlene Roland, Bruce Roland, John Roland, Patrick Roland. Great Grandchildren Nathaniel Roland, Makayla Roland, Ashleigh Roland, Hayden Roland, Preston West, Lylianna Bateman, Marcella Bateman, Jeremiah Bateman. Also five beautiful nieces Cathy Spencer Bonniville, Denise Keeter, Whitney McGee, Leslie Fulton, Melissa Spencer and countless great nieces & nephews. Her love for her family was always evident, she loved unconditionally always seeing the best in you. She will be missed tremendously. We are who we are because of our mom, who gave us everything she could.  Let our memories of our mother live on forever in our hearts.
