Ann Bradshaw Millner, 94, passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2016. She was born on September 28, 1921, to the late Captain Willy and Pauline Amory Bradshaw. In 1943 she married Jesse Albert (Al) Millner, who predeceased her in 1966, much too young.

Ann is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Patrick and Robbie Deskins, and Bonnie's husband Merrell. She was proud of her three grandsons: Brad Wheeler (Traci), Bryan Wheeler (Christine), and Brett Wheeler (Nicole); great granddaughters in Hampton Blakelei and Amory; and great-grandchildren Drew and Logan of Corpus Christi TX. She is also survived by sisters-in-law (Pudge Millner and Anne Lynch Millner) and cousins (Duddy Forrest and Gwen Cumming).

Ann was a graduate of Hampton High School and Farmville State Teachers College (now Longwood). She was always actively involved with her girls, grandsons, and great-grandchildren, attending games and competitions and driving carpool. She was the favorite of all family pets.

The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 pm Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton. A celebration of Ann's life will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held immediately after the funeral at Peninsula Memorial Park.
