Obituary
NEWPORT NEWS - Ann Wood Manry, 71, passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2016, at home. Born April 21, 1944 in Newport News, she remained a lifelong resident. She was employed for many years as a Sales Finance Officer at United Virginia Bank, Chevy Chase Bank, and BB&T until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed the beaches of the Outer Banks, lighthouses, and collecting seashells. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Curtis S. and Elva E. Wood. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Gambill, and husband, Shawn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peninsula SPCA. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm, Sun., Jan. 24, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton. Interment will be private.
