IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anita Radford
Bolt
March 5, 2017
Anita Radford Bolt passed away peacefully on March 5, 2017. She was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend. Born in Loris, South Carolina, Anita moved to Hampton when she was a young child. She was a longtime member of the Hampton Church of the Nazarene. Anita was an angel whose time amongst us was filled with laughter, love and the best chocolate pie. She was a gifted cook, talented seamstress, and avid gardener, sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends alike.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Maude (Paul) Radford. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 52 years, Douglas R Bolt. She is survived by her loving son, Brian D. Bolt, daughter-in-law, Laurie, and her brother, Jerry Radford (Debbie). Her loss will be felt most by her treasured grandsons, Samuel Bolt and Joshua Bolt. Anita will be remembered fondly by her traveling buddies and in-laws, Norman and Earlene Bolt. She will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00pm, with visitation beginning at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Peninsula Food Bank in her honor. The family would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Hampton Roads Specialty Hospital's nursing staff for their loving care and treatment.
