Andrew Earl Glass, 87, passed away August 2, 2016 at home.  Born in Fork Union, VA, he was a Hampton resident for 60 years.  He served as an Army Sgt. in the Territory of Alaska during the Korean War. After serving, he supervised construction of many local building projects until retiring. A former member of Langley Baptist, he was a current member of Pine Chapel Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, George Archer and Mary Helen Glass; twin sister at birth, Audrey; ten other siblings; and his beloved wife, Joan.  He is survived by his sons Rick and his wife, Alicyn, Chris and his wife, Dorothy, Doug and his wife, Ana, and Terry and his wife, Katherine; daughter, Angela; grandchildren, Brian Nelson; Nova, Will, and Kayleigh Glass; Darrel, Gavin, and Aiden Neselrod; and great-granddaughter, Kayelyn Glass; and his sister, Barbara Kirby of Zions Crossroads, VA.

T he family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM , Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church, Smithfield, VA.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM , immediately following. Burial will be at the Fork Union Baptist Church Cemetery Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM .  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club or The Cat Corner of Hampton, VA.
