Alexia F. Luikert, 56, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 11, 2016. A longtime resident of Hampton. Alexia's focus in life was her family and she cherished her daughter Abby and husband Peter. A talented gardener, her yard stands as a testament to her green thumb. Alexia loved animals especially her dogs, and in her free time was skilled at beading and jewelry making. She will leave a lasting impact on her pool playing friends she referred to as the "Tuesday Night Gang".

Alexia was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Ferrell Sr. and her three brothers, Michael, William, and Robert Ferrell.

Survivors include her loving husband, Peter Luikert; daughter Abigail Luikert; mother, Lilly Belle Ferrell; sisters, Christina Perkins, Idar Stout, Pamela Morris, and Donna Ferrell; brother, Thomas P. Ferrell Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews and her friends, Robin T., Ed, Randy, Robin S., Shelly, and numerous others.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16 2016 from 7:00-8:30PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, April 18 2016 at 11AM. Following the service the family will receive friends at Cordier Hall for a short reception. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk VA at 2PM.
